So many among us have been blessed with good health and good fortune. In this season of caring, the members of Friends of Oakhurst Park (FOOP) would like to give back to the vulnerable among us by collecting items for the disabled of our community. We are honored to partner with our neighbor, Yoyi Martinez, by sponsoring a “gift box” in Oakhurst Park, Sat. 12/2 & Sun. 12/3, 10:00am to 5:00pm benefiting EXPANCO. Help make EVERYONE’S holiday brighter by donating NEW unwrapped: men’s & women’s gloves, white socks, hats, shampoo, deodorant, coloring books, toothbrush kits (“Dr. Fresh - $1 @ Dollar Tree), white handkerchiefs, key chains, hair combs, hair brushes, Kleenex, sanitary wipes, etc. ****EXPANCO is a reputable 30 year old organization which trains and employs disabled adults. Former FW City Council Member Danny Scarth, who is physically challenged himself, and who personally knows the challenges of disabled, sits on the Board of the amazing organization. www.expanco.com ****FRIENDS OF OAKHURST PARK (FOOP) is our neighborhood service organization with the mission to maintain, protect, & preserve Oakhurst Park for future generations. www.friendsofoakhurstpark.org Thanks so much to everyone who came out to celebrate the new combination fountain in the park and the second birthday of Friends of Oakhurst Park (FOOP)!
